Andy Bachand of KBS will present an overview of the process the state uses to set long term care rates paid to Vermont nursing facilities. 

The overview will include considerations around the state’s phasing out of the stabilization support received during the public health emergency and return to statutory rate setting. This session will provide background for current work at the Agency of Human Services around updates to nursing facility payments, including the PDPM process, Extraordinary Financial Relief, considerations for requesting special rates, and options for addressing the occupancy minimum.
