Hawley Hunt, Senior Director for Regulatory and Quality Services at American Health Care Association will present a webinar for Vermont nursing homes on IDR / IIDR preparedness.
This one-hour virtual session will provide skilled nursing facility professionals with practical guidance for preparing for Informal Dispute Resolution (IDR) and Independent Informal Dispute Resolution (IIDR). Participants will explore how to evaluate survey findings, organize supporting evidence, develop clear and persuasive arguments, and avoid common pitfalls. The session will also highlight proven approaches for presenting a well-supported case and navigating the dispute resolution process effectively.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Differentiate between the IDR and IIDR processes and identify when each may apply.
- Evaluate survey findings and supporting documentation to determine the strongest grounds for a dispute.
- Develop a clear, organized, and evidence-based submission that effectively addresses disputed findings.
Mary McQuiggan from Vermont Program for Quality in Health Care (VPQHC) will also join this webinar to discuss Vermont’s “Survey of Surveyors” and how that feedback can address concerns not eligible for IDR / IIDR.
