The Vermont Health Care Association and the Vermont
Department of Aging and Independent Living are revamping the Residential Care Administrator’s Training Course.
This full course involves a careful examination of some of
the skills needed to successfully manage a Residential Care Home in Vermont.
Emphases are on development of basic business and care giving skills,
attention to state and federal regulation, and safety for residents and
employees. It is an exploratory, first course in Administration designed
primarily for students planning to further their roll in managing an existing
home or developing a new one.
This course also meets the needs of many students with other interests,
as a refresher course in some areas, a course for upgrading skills, or
for students looking for CEU credits but not certification.
