Vermont Health Care Association (VHCA) was established in 1955 as Vermont’s first long term care organization.

VHCA represents Nursing Facilities, Residential Care Homes, and Assisted Living Residences. Our members include for profit, not for profit, hospital based or affiliated homes, multi-facility health systems, and industry partners.

VHCA is the voice of residential long term care providers in Vermont. We promote quality long term care services and professional development opportunities for our members and their staff. We advocate for necessary and reasonable public policies, including adequate government reimbursement, so that professional and compassionate services can be provided to those Vermonters trusting VHCA members with their care. We track the ongoing evolution of the long term care sector and look ahead to what will be necessary to maintain access to quality care into the future.
